To Create Cut and Fill Volumes

Select the tool and follow the heads-up prompts.

Prompt	User Action
Select Existing Surface	Graphically select any terrain model, generally the existing terrain.
Select Design Surface	Graphically select any mesh, generally a design surface.
Cut Feature Definition	Note: use keyboard arrow keys to navigate the feature hierarchy. Feature definition used for the symbology of a cut volume.
Fill Feature Definition	Note: use keyboard arrow keys to navigate the feature hierarchy. Feature definition used for the symbology of a fill volume.
Data Point to accept Selection	Data point anywhere on the screen to commence processing.

Select one of the cut or fill volume objects, and use Properties or Element Info to view the volume.
